HomeMy WebLinkAboutPerfect Combination 2010Perfect combination V ~ a Eagle Staff Report The Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival began Friday in down- town Bryan and continues Saturday with live music, wine tasting, a steak cook- off, children's activities and other events. Officials expect 30,000 peo- ple to attend over the week- end. The main events will run down several blocks of Main Street. Admission to the fes- tival is free, although tickets can be purchased for indi- vidual events. Seven bands will per- form on Saturday, starting with Kelly Austin Curtis at noon, followed by Greg Tivis and the Dixieland Jam, Rockafellas, Randy Pavlock and Razz, all on the Palace Stage. The Tejas Brothers will perform on the Main Stage from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by head- liner Kevin Fowler from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Other events include a grape stomp, a chef demon- stration, a wine garden and an artist showcase. Children's activities will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A free shuttle will run to the festival from the Blinn College campus.
