* Tom Comstock presented the outline for the June
19 Civil Defense RACES and Communications Exer-
cise. A plan has been written by Capt.Warren
Heffington during his MOBDES active duty.
a. Will use VHF 1 Watt radio to test commun-
ications between EOC's. Will operate in
Bryan EOC.
b. Use TAMU MSC repeater and 10 private amat-
eur radios.
c. For testing health and welfare traffic -
will have contacts over the State.
d. There are 30 RACES Units available in
Bryan.

Send letter to key personnel to remind them of
participation a few days before the Exercise.
Get a Bryan map and problem board for use in the
EOC.
RACES Units can be used to augment Police Spotters.
Reviewed the major steps of the Exercise plan.
Introduced Dr. Vance Moyer who will work part time
for Civil Defense beginning Jan.1,1981 with emphasis
on severe weather plans.
REACT is tied in with RACES through their central
station and they work together.
RACES broadcasts in the 146 band.
The following received letters of the special meeting to
finalize plans for the "Emergency Communication Exercise':"
Meeting held Monday, June 2 at 5 P. M. in the Brazos County
Courthouse - Civil Defense Office.

for our "Emergency Communication Exercise ", scheduled for
June 19. Your attendance will be needed to make sure that
your area of concern is represented.

County Courthouse - Civil Defense Office.
