Robert A. Schaefer, 87, of College Station passed away
on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Visitation will be from 6 to 8
p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Hillier Funeral Home. Rosary
will be recited at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Mass of Christian
burial will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 2S41 Earl Rudder
Fwy. S. in College Station. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Houston
National Cemetery.
Bob served his country proudly for more than 20 years ''_
with the U.S. Navy and Air Force during World War ,,/,)
II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After retiring - /'''
from the military, Bob taught accounting at Blinn
College in Brenham until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed his
family, friends, playing golf and the Houston Astros.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Linda Doucet of
Denham Springs, La., Debbie and Ronnie Fathauer of Brenham,
Robert Schaefer of Las Vegas, N.V., Michael and Sandra Schaefer
of College Station; grandchildren, Ashley Reda and husband,
Jeff, Sarah Doucet, Danielle Doucet, Brian Fathauer and wife,
Amanda, Sarah Crosby and husband, Abel, Anna Fathauer,
Allison Schaefer and Amanda Schaefer; great - granddaughter,
Emma Fathauer; brother and sister -in -law, Harold and Winnie
Schaefer; sisters -in -law,
Jean Schaefer and Rie
