In last year's Longhorn we no-
tice that the editor approved and
had printed a statement that the
R. V.'s wen the cream of our
campus and that it was the ambi-
tion of every under - graduate to
become a member. What a lot of
rotl Well, it seems that this year
they only got on a Maj., two Cap-
tains, and the rest who were taken
in because they had to take men
in their "white" organization to fill
the unit. Yes, they had to. We
feel that these men, unless they
are social aspirants, have sucked
under, so to speak. It began with
a military organization and now it
is the lowest rating organization
on the campus. We hope, however,
that it will become, better in years
to tome. Since they failed in their
membership campaign, we are
wondering whether they can back
up their statement that they are
made up of the cream of the
campus. Look around the campus
and find a man who is not an R. V.
and ask him why he is not a mem-
ber and then ask him if he is glad
he is out from under their thumb.
We wonder what his answer will
