• Requested permission to scan in the "Sesquicentennial Edition of Brazos County
History, Rich Past Bright Future" edited by Glenna Brundidge and Langston Goree.
Waiting for an answer from the Brazos County Heritage and History Council.
• Worked with Zeta Fail of PD on updating their brief history of College Station for
accreditation.
Laserfiche
• Colleen and I are still working on cleaning up the files and templates on the website.
• We will be working with our Laserfiche guru, Casey Skelton, (Information Services)
on improvements to our website. A Project HOLD page is first on the list.
Oral History Team
• Oral history of Mora Boone, 104 year old CS resident
Project HOLD Moment in History
• The July issue of the PH Moment in History went out the last week of July. The topic
was the Millican Riots of July 1868. The positive feedback on this article has been
tremendous.
• In the process of compiling a notebook of the PH Moment in History newsletters and
feedback.

Volunteers
• Please continue to send in your hours so that I may document them in the Points of
Light foundation database.
• Mary Bern, our new volunteer, is working on the newspaper clippings and will be
learning to scan.
• Ruth Bramson has composed a letter to our area churches requesting their histories or
updates to existing histories in the PH files. We will mail it out this month.
• Mary Hamlin and Ruth returned packets of loaned materials to the donors this month.
