MEMORANDUM 4 1I TO: Historic Preservation Committee
; OM: Steve Beachy, Director of Parks & Recreation
SUBJECT: January Meeting
Enclosed with the agenda are two draft designs to consider for use in the historic
homes program. These are proposed as starting points for discussion purposes.
Ginny LeBlanc has been in contact with sales representatives from OMC, Inc.
concerning options available and estimated costs. A full report will be given at next
week's meeting.
We have a budget of approximately $4,000 designated for use on historical projects.
The money is allocated from the City's Hotel/Motel Fund. The fund also includes
revenues from the Annual Formal Ball held each spring at the Community Center.
This fund can be used to purchase the markers, print brochures, or other related
projects. Your input is requested to guide the utilization of these funds for 1990.
Also, an update on the progress of the Capital Improvement Program Committee
will be given and any new information concerning future State marker projects.
Should additional information be required prior to the meeting, please contact
either myself or Ginny or 764 -3414.
