to have met you on August 24th. I am glad that I just happened to have had those photos of my parents and the house on Old Jersey Street! Just being there at the Aglow meeting in the
convention center, seeing the pen and ink drawings of the historic homes and meeting you was definitely the providence of God! I am planning on coming to the Exploring History Lunch
Lecture Series on November 18th (if I can make it). I wish that my Dad could make it as well. However, he will be coming here from Florida in December for my son’s graduation from A
& M and his commissioning into the Army. My Dad will get to take part in the commissioning ceremony. He said that wild horses couldn’t keep him for coming! Is
there anything that you would like for me to ask him about his time here at the Bryan Army Airfield? Thank you very much for the beautiful calendar with the pen and ink drawings of the
historic College Station homes, what a treasure it is to me! It was truly a blessing to meet you and chat with you in your office! God bless you! Sincerely, Claudia Stokes c_stokes@earthlink.net
Home #: 281-647-6636 Cell #: 832-814-9838 Anne: I'm visiting my Dad and I heard your name back in my room here in CS, Dad was watching the City Council meeting on TV. I got to hear a
few of your fans commending the work you do for the city and the importance of your department. I was glad to also hear that they'd put your full time job back in the budget. I hope
you get money for travel and stamps too!. Dad''s one of the ones who needs to find out about the History luncheons through the postcards. Danny at Carriage Inn told us that you were
getting some signatures and support from the luncheon group. I know Dad appreciates the time you put into your job, so I'm glad they put your full salary back in the budget. Evalyn (Worley)
Wow! Thank you so much for the information (and so quickly!). I was born and raised in Texas myself, but I live in Colorado now. I'd forgotten how kind and helpful Texans are! My sister
lives in Houston, though, so I might just fly there and join her on a trip to College Station. You are amazing! I'm thinking the book (Brazos County History) would be nice to buy (my
hubby's always looking for ideas for my Christmas, and he's a Texas nut just like me). We moved here 6 years ago, giving up season tickets to the Houston Texans (that was painful!).
I'm so anxious to learn more about my roots. I'm 53 and still have both my parents (thank God!). I want to learn all I can while all of their wisdom is available. The really funny thing
would be to tell my Texas Longhorn mom and dad that our ancestors are Aggies! Thanks again Anne! If we plan a trip to College Station, I'll look you up and say thanks in person. Suzie
Elmore I was told about Project Hold and what a good project it is and checked it out. It is a wonderful project. I am a local historian and do all sorts of local research in my home
county. I volunteer for the local historical society and the local genealogical society . I have put alot of my resarch on line with the site www.franklincountykansas.net I was looking
for some help or advise. I like your layout with the folders and subfolders. What program do you use? I would like to set something up similar to this. I have my materials already saved
on my personal computer in much this same fashion. If I could just make them available on the internet in this same fashion would be wonderful. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Louis R. RE: Oral Histories As you know, when I spoke on behalf of you and HOLD at the city council meeting, I made the public pledge to donate copies of my veterans audio interviews
and DVDs of the my veterans shows to Project HOLD. Before I get hit by a bus, I guess we should get together and discuss the best method to get all of this material to you. The DVDs
are exactly that, DVDs of most of the KAMU Veterans Shows I have done.
The audio recordings are the extended visits that I have had with the veterans and while I can't say I still have every one of them, I certainly have the vast majority of them. They
are mostly on my work computer but I have many older ones on cassette tapes. TT (Tom Turbiville) RE: Siempre -Otra Vez Exhibit Great, Anne! That will get a lot of positive attention.
Henry (Dethloff) I will be retiring on Oct 23. I want you to know how much I appreciated your work with us and how much fun I think you are! I know I will run into you from time to time
but I want to tell you that you do an incredible job...one that few people want to do. Please keep up the good work and let me know when your books are in print! Ann (Ganter), CSISD
PIO RE: Hot Rocks Cook Off Thanks so much for putting together the upcoming meeting on the 24th as well as for the opportunity for me to participate in the promo and pitch deep-time
heritage in our part of the world. Alston Thoms, TAMU, Dept. of Anthropology
