All but one of the photos are ready to be installed. The exhibit will include two letter jackets, a football program, several plaques, and trophies. Connections • Anne Boykin has been asked to serve on the Brazos County Historical Commission. • Bryan Bryant from A &M Consolidated inquired about Lincoln School history for a project at A &M Consolidated High School. We directed him to the Project HOLD files and to a recent acquisition: 2001 Lincoln Former Students Alumni Association Program. • Barbara Steptoe, COCS GIS technician, asked for help in mapping historic homes in the Southside area. In the process she "discovered" the Project HOLD website and called to pay her compliments. She was distracted from her initial project when she became involved in reading some of the histories. Laserfiche • We are pleased with the look and feel of the new version of Laserfiche. • We no longer compete with Planning and Development Services for use of the Scanworks scanner. Project HOLD Moment in History • A new newsletter will issued after the Panther Pride display is finished. • We will reprint copies of the "Millican Riot" newsletter to hand out at the January Exploring History Lunch Lecture on the same topic. Oral History Team • Mary Hamlin has completed interviews with the family of Erma F. Jefferson, an African American woman was one of the first black women to attend Texas A &M University. • Mary will also be conducting interviews with Neal Nutall, the Hernandez family, James L. Boone, Jr., and the Martinez family. Volunteers • Please continue to submit your hours so that they may be documented in the Points of Light foundation database. • Colleen Risinger and Alyson Sanders have significantly added to our Project HOLD database acquisitions. Thank you!
