Anne Boykin, Heritage Programs Visitor: N/A Agenda Item #1: Call to Order Meeting was called to order by Earl Apgar at 4:12 p.m. Agenda Item #2-3: Hear Visitors N/A Agenda Item #4: Absence
Request N/A Agenda Item #5: Swearing in of new committee member Patricia Cleere was sworn in prior to the meeting at PARD Central Park by Amanda Putz. Agenda Item #6: Approval of the
minutes Motion was made, seconded to approve the minutes of Feb. 1, 2010. (JM/si) Agenda Item #7: Texas Historical Commission Annual Conference It was decided that if members wanted
to go for the day that we would carpool. Earl volunteered to drive. Anne B. offered a city city van in case she was only going for the day. Agenda Item #8: 75th Anniversary Planning
Earl reported on plans that will be presented at a March 5 meeting of community members representing various organizations.
Agenda Item #9: Heritage Programs Coordinator Report. Anne reported on the progress of the Lynn Stuart Pathway at Veterans Park. The 22 panels will be installed during Spring Break.
Three statues are already in the planning stages and are scheduled for installation July 1, Oct. 1, and Nov. 11. Agenda Item #10: Committee Reports • Development – Susan Irza Susan reported
that she will be volunteering for the TAM Conference. • Native American Interpretive Path – Ernie Wright and Patricia Cleere Ernie reported on a meeting with Dr. Alston Thoms, and Steve
Beachy. • Historic Markers Program – Meredith Waller Discussion on the missing marker application. We will contact Timeworks to see how much additional markers would cost. • Oral History
Project – Lou Hodges Lou reported that work continues on the scanning of the A&M scrapbook. • PR/Communications/Sponsorships – James McGinnis James will continue to get sponsorships
for the lunch lectures. • Landmark Commission (Liaison) – Hillary Jessup N/A • Educational Initiatives/School Activities – Libby Vastano Bill Fitch and Nancy Tiner will be added to the
oral history list. Libby and Anne will be presenting a program on Texas History to the residents at Waldenbrooke Estates March 2. • Volunteer Recruitment – Anne Triche-Steen Nothing
to report. • Exploring History Lunch Lectures – Earl Apgar Lectures are going well and we are expecting a large crowd for March. Agenda Item #11: Calendar of Events March 2, 2010 Texas
