A couple of weeks ago, Paul R rote
a letter telling us Tommy 1llills, Aggie
captain, was a greater back than
Dexter Shellev of the Longhorns. The
writer laughed at the idea, and told

that even the mast ardent Aggie fans
didn't recnrd Mills a great back.
Well, Thursday at College Station
Captain Tommy completely overshlid-
owed Shelley, and showed he mast be
given as much if not more conRidera-
tion for All-Southwestern laurels than
,Shelley.
W trust, however, that in compar-
ing Mills and Shelley, Paul will
give due credit to the difference in the
support accorded the two.
Considering the fact he was playing
against such inspired linemen as
"Pinky" Alsabrook, "Rube" Tracy,
Otis 'lagrill, Carl Mouldin, "Dutch"
Qr.wn, Sbelley did extremely well to
gain a total of 35 yards in the 12
times he packed the pigskin.
Time after time, the bruising Aggie
forwards came through to smear
Shelley before he reached the line of
0cn*ip18go. And on his off-tackle
thruitl, Shelley's interference couldn't
get anybody out of the way.
