Elsie E. Ramge,
May 23, 1921- April 30, 2009
Elsie E. Ramge, 87, of
Otterbein Retirement
Community in Cridersville,
Ohio, died on Thursday, April
30, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical
Center, Lima. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday, May 1, at the Bayliff &
Eley Funeral Dome, St. Rt. 501.,
Wapakoneta, and 1 hour prior
to the service, Saturday at
the church. Funeral services
are set for 11 a.m. Saturday,
May 2, at St. Paul United
Church of Christ, Wapakoneta
with Dr. Alex Gondola
officiating. Burial will follow
in the Greenlawn Cemetery,
Wapakoneta.
She was born on May 23,
1921, in Wapakoneta, Ohio,
the daughter of Ed and Mary
Caroline (Kolter) Brautigam,
who preceded her in death. On
January 9, 1943, she married
John C. Ramge. A homemaker,
Mrs. Ramge was a member.
of St. Paul United Church of
Christ, Wapakoneta. She Was
a graduate of Blume High
School, Sam Houston State
College, Huntsville, and did
graduate work in education at
Texas A&M, College Station,
TX. She had volunteered for
various organizations.
She was also preceded in
death by two brothers, Harold
and Roland Brautigam.
Survivors. include her
husband, John C. Ramge; three
children, J. David and Beverly
Ramge, of Houston, Elizabeth
A. and Davis Suskind, of Salona
Beach, Calif., William Howard
and Betty Ramge, of Houston;
granddaughter, Anne Michelle
Suskind, of Farmington,
Conn.; sisters, Dorothy Berg,
of Naples, Fla., Marjorie and
Clarence Dinnen, Jamestown,
of Ohio.
