and Tracking of Inspections ~ We are now providing the opportunity for you to access your inspections electronically at any time of the day or night. This new software program allows
you, the contractor, to complete the most common steps in the construction process at your convenience and all online. You can now schedule or reschedule inspections, view inspection
results, and access comments entered by our Building Inspectors on a 24/7 basis. To access and use this software go to http://bpinspect.cstx.gov and enter the permit number followed
by the pin number issued by the Customer Service Representative. Contact the Planning & Development Services Department at 979.764.3570 with any questions regarding this exciting new
process. ~ Reviewing the Progress of New Projects ~ This new software is also providing us the opportunity to to allow all individuals involved in a new project, as well as interested
citizens, the ability to access multiple facets of the new project’s process online. The following are just a few of the features you can access: the project’s name, location, contact
information for the owner, engineer, architect, etc., as well as staff’s review comments on all the plans submitted for the project. To access new projects go to http://pzonline.cstx.gov
and search for the project by name. You can access various documents produced by City staff for the project, including documents produced for projects scheduled for public meetings,
including maps, aerials, and staff reports related to the project. To contact staff regarding any feature of this new program or for any questions regarding a project, please select
the Email Us link and let us know what you think. PERFORMANCE MEASURES ?? 98% of commercial plans that were complete when submitted were reviewed accurately within 5 working days by
building staff in compliance with College Station Codes and Ordinances or have received appropriate variances. ?? 86% of single-family plans that were complete when submitted were reviewed
accurately within 1 working day. ?? 100% of building inspections accurately performed within 24 hours. ?? 9 commercial plans submitted, 0 sets of duplex plans submitted, 0 sets of multi-family
plans submitted. ?? 18 inspections per day per inspector, in addition to utility walk-through connections and miscellaneous requests. ?? 71 inspections (approx.) per day for this month.
Congratulations Carol Cotter, Josh Norton, and Donald Harmon, and they each recently passing the Professional Engineer's Exam and receiving promotions here at the City. Carol is now
the Senior Assistaan City Engineer and both Josh and Donald are Assistant City Engineeers Carol and Josh are in the Public Works Department where they review and permit development engineering
projects. Donald is in the Capital Projects Department performing engineering project management of CIP projects. We are proud of their accomplishments and greater professional capacity
at which they serve the City and its citizens.

Page 12 Volume 9 Issue 6 As the population of College Station grows, our City gradually expands in order to ensure the well being of surrounding areaas as well as to maintain the vitality
of our city. In March of this year, College Station completed the annexation of six areaas totaling 1,526 acres, under the exempt annexation statutte The ordinance went into effect on
March 29th. Currently, annexation is a process that takes about three years from start to finish. One of the initial steps in the procees is the adoption of an annexation plan that identifies
the areas targeted for annexation. Property owners are notified of the City's intent to annex early in the process so that they have ample time to address any issues with the City. On
the third anniversary of the date the City Council adopts the annexaatio plan, the property is annexed. However, there are two exceptions that are exempted from this process. One is
when properties petition to be annexed. The other exception applies to annexations that include fewer than 100 separate tracts of land on which one or more residenntia dwellings are
located. This second exemption refers to the annexation process completed in March. While annexation generally has a negative connotation, it is mutually beneficial for both the annexed
areas and the City. City services are immediately provided to the areas, and residents are covered by all City ordinances. For the City, areas for future growth, and our tax base and
revenue sources are secured. At the June 12th City Council Meeting, Planning and Development Services announced that they are looking into annexing additional areas surrounding College
