AN ORDINANCE REZONING A .954 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE MARIA KEGANS LEAGUE, A PART OF BLOCK 4, HARVEY HILLSIDES SUBDIVISION,
AN ADDITION IN BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, ACCORDING TO PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 264, PAGE
484 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN
METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT
A -0 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C -3 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, August 12, 1982, Thursday, on the question of rezoning certain
areas within the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain .954 acre tract, part
of Block Four (4), Harvey Hillsides Addition in the Maria Kegans League, College
Station, Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point an the southeast right -of -way line of State Highway No. 30,
said point being S 45 03' W for a distance of 402 feet from an iron rod set for
corner at the northwest corner of Lot 42, Block 2, and the northeast corner of
Block 4 of the above - mentioned Harvey Hillsides Addition;
THENCE S 45 03' E for a distance of 391.48 feet to an iron rod set for corner,
said iron rod being located in the common line between Block 4 and Lot 10, Block 2
of the Harvey Hillsides Addition;
' THENCE S 34 24' W for a distance of 105.5 feet to an iron rod set for corner, same
being the west corner of Lot 10, Block 2;
THENCE N 45 03' W across the before - mentioned Block 4 for a distance of 412.57 feet
to an iron rod set for corner in the southeast right -of -way line of State Highway
No. 30;
THENCE N 45 03' E along the southeast right -of -way line of the said State Highway
No. 30 for a distance of 103.37 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing .954 acres
of land more or less conveyed to owner by deed and recorded in Volume 520 page 769
of the Brazos County Deed Records, from Agricultural Open Space District A -0 to
General Commercial District C -3.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
