AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY HERETOFORE
WITHIN THE TERRITORY AND JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF
STATION, TEXAS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS AND
OF THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION ACT.

PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the property described on Exhibit A attached
hereto was originally annexed to the City on the aacd day of
February , 19 70 ; and
WHEREAS, such property by virtue of its location, distance
from existing city facilities, physical characteristics, and
the location of territory owned and controlled by Texas A & M
University, has not been provided with City services, including
water and sewer, within the period since its annexation; and
WHEREAS, such services are not contemplated to be available
within the forseeable future to the property by virtue of the
circumstances recited above;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION:
I.
That the lot, tract or parcel of land shown and described
by metes and bounds on the attached Exhibit A hereto is hereby
disannexed from the City of College Station, and that same shall
henceforth be excluded from the City's territory and jurisdiction,
except as provided by statute and ordinance for areas within the
extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City.
II.
This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage.

EXHIBIT A
All that certain tract of land in the J.E. SCOTT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 50,
Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of the "Second Tract" described
in Partition Deed recorded in Volume 91, Page 423, Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake in the NW line of the original tract from
whence the NW corner of said tract bears S 44° 54' W 119.6 varas;
THENCE N 44° 54' E along said NW line 59 varas from whence the
NE corner of the original tract bears N 44° 54' E 58.6 varas;
THENCE S 45 E 780.9 varas to the NW right -of -way line of
Highway 60;
THENCE along said right -of -way line S 49' 14" W 56.3 varas
and S 52° 34' W 2.9 varas;
THENCE N 45" W 776.4 varas to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and
containing 8.139 acres of land more, or less.
SAVE AND EXCEPT a tract of 1.224 acres conveyed for Highway purposes
in deed recorded in Volume 266, Page 689, Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas.
