AN ORDINANCE REZONING 4.455 ACRES OF A 8.876 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN
THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND
BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R -1 TO TOWN-
HOUSE- ROWHOUSE DISTRICT R -3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday,
February 25, 1982, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of the following tract of land, lying and being
situated in the Richard Carter League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Being all that certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Richard
Carter League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being part of that 8.876 acre
tract conveyed to J.V. Henton by Delmo Jasper, et -al, by deed recorded in Volume 452, page
164 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the north corner of said 4.455 acre tract, said corner being in the south
right -of -way line of University Drive;
THENCE S 17 33' E - 225.58 feet and S 44 52' 13" E - 490.0 feet to a point for cor-
ner;
THENCE S 78 56' 09" W 296.0 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 45 28' W - 910.0 feet to a point for corner in said University Drive Line;
THENCE N 72 27' E - 402.6 feet along said University Drive line to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING and containing 4.455 acres of land, more or less from Single Family Residential
District R -1 to Townhouse - Rowhouse District R -3.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 25th day of February, 1982.
