AN ORDINANCE REZONING 10.82 ACRES OF A 33.68 ACRE TRACT, LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE
MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 46, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED
BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENT /HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT R -6
TO ADMINISTRATIVE /PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A -P.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday,
February 11, 1 98 2 the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of the following 10.82 acre tract or parcel of land,
lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Abstract 46, in College Station,
Brazos County, Texas and being a part of a 33.68 acre tract of land conveyed to Dr. W.R.
Newton, Trustee, by Sam Pena and Danny Edwards, Trustees, by deed recorded in Volume 285,
page 731 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more fully described by
metes and bounds as follows:
Being a 10.82 acre tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Morgan
Rector League, Abstract No. 46, in College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being a part
of the 33.68 acre tract of land conveyed to Dr. W.R. Newton, Trustee, by Sam Pena and
Danny Edwards, Trustees, by deed recorded in Volume 285, Page 731 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 19, of the Richards Subdivision in College
Station, Texas, as platted and recorded in Volume 137, Page 25, of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas;
THENCE N 50 03'10" W for a distance of 938.14' to a point for corner;
THENCE N 50 40'13" W for a distance of 176.09' to a point which is the POINT OF
BEGINNING;
THENCE N 46 49' 47" E for a distance of 328.00' to a point for a corner;
THENCE N 73 56' 19" E for a distance of 359.19' to a point for a corner;
THENCE N 27 19' 21" E for a distance of 286.00' to a point for a corner;
THENCE N 48 55' 39" W for a distance of 565.00' to an iron pipe for a corner;
THENCE S 41 33' 01" W for a distance of 918.44' to an iron pipe for a corner;
THENCE S 50 40' 13" E for a distance of 413.00' to a point, which is the POINT OF
BEGINNING, containing 10.82 acres, more or less from Apartment /High Density District R -6
to Administrative /Professional District A -P.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
