AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.023 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE JOSEPH E. SCOTT SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 50, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, ALSO BEING PART
OF TRACTS C AND D OF THE RAMPARTS AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF SAME, RECORDED IN VOLUME
477, PAGE 145, OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY
DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT C -1 TO APARTMENT /HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT R -6.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, January 14, 1982 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of the following 1.023 acre tract of land
lying and being situated in the Joseph E. Scott Survey in College Station, Brazos
County, Texas and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the west corner of said Tract D;
THENCE S 44 31' 35" E along the northeast right -of -way line of Nagle Street
for a distance of 150.00 feet and corner;
THENCE N 45 28' 25" E for a distance of 246.18 feet and corner;
THENCE N 89 05' 09" E for a distance of 60.77 feet and corner in the southwest
line of Tract B of the Ramparts;
THENCE N 44 34' 48" W along the common line with Tract B of The Ramparts for
a distance of 192.70 feet and corner in the northwest line of The Ramparts, at the
west corner of said Tract B;
THENCE S 45 19' 05" W along said northwest line of The Ramparts for a distance
of 290.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 44,544 square feet or 1.023 acres
of land more or less from General Commercial District C -1 to Apartment /High Density
District R -6.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 14th day of January, 1982.
