HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-1387 - Ordinance - 10/28/1982ORDINANCE NO. 1387 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 79,790 SQUARE FOOT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 8, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, ALSO BEING PART OF TRACT B OF COURTYARD APARTMENTS SUBDIVISION, SEE PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 523, PAGE 427, OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENTS HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT R -6 TO ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A -P. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 28, 1982 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits: AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of the following 79,790 square foot tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Richard Carter Survey, Abstract No. 8, Brazos County, Texas, also being part of Tract B of Courtyard Apartments Subdivision, see plat recorded in Volume 523, Page 427, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the iron rod marking the east corner of said Tract B; THENCE s 45 42' 12" W along the northwest right-of -way line of Texas State o taw Highway No. 30 for a distance of 466.26 feet to an iron rod for corner, same being the south corner of said Tract B; THENCE N 44 17' 48" W for a distance of 171.00 feet and corner in the southwest line of said Tract B; THENCE N 45 42' 12 " E for a distance of 468.79 feet and corner in the southwest right -of -way line of Stallings Drive; THENCE in a southeast direction along said southwest right-of -way line of Stallings Drive, same being a curve concave to the southeast, having a radius of 995.52 feet, for an arc length of 71.06 feet to the end of this curve, the chord bears S 42 15' 06" E 71.05 feet; THENCE S 44 17' 48" E continue along said southwest right -of -way line of Stallings Drive for a distance of 100.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 79,790 square feet of land, more or less from Apartments High Density District R -6 to Administrative Professional District A -P. And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
