AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, SECTION 1 -B OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, RELATING TO AMENDMENTS
TO THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION:
THAT CHAPTER 6, SECTION 1 -B OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION IS HEREBY AMENDED BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING:

(9) A new Section 1.08 a. 7. shall be added to read as
follows:
"When the fire official determines that any building or
other structure which is over crowded in violation of
Section 30.113 of this Code, constitutes an immediate
danger to health or welfare of the occupants or the public
in general, he shall temporary order such establishment
closed, and may obtain the assistance of law enforecment
agencies to enforce his order. The temporary closure
of such a building or structure shall be limited to a
period of time sufficient to evacuate the building
and count the total number of occupants thereof, and to
reduce the actual number of occupants to constitute
compliance with the Building Code and Section 30.113 of
this Fire Code."

Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase,
or word of this ordinance be declared unconstitutional or in-
valid for any purpose, the remainder of this ordinance shall
not be affected thereby.
3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
4.
And, it is ordained that this ordinance shall become effec-
tive from and after its passage in accordance with the city
charter of the City of College Station.
