HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-1293 - Ordinance - 05/28/1981ORDINANCE NO. 1293 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A .653 ACRE TRACT LYING IN THE RICHARD CARTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 8, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, ALSO BEING PART OF BLOCK D, CULPEPPER PLAZA, ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, PLAT OF SAME BEING RECORDED IN VOLUME 278, PAGE 39 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENT DISTRICT R -6 TO ADMINISTRATIVE /PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A -P. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 1981 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council had determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all that .653 acre tract of land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter Survey, Abstract No. 8, Brazos County, Texas, also being part of Block D, Culpepper Plaza, Addition to the City of College Station, Plat of same being recorded in Volume 278, Page 39 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod set in the southwest line of said Block D, same being the northeast line of Puryear Drive at a point 79.42 feet N 46 ° 52'24" W from the point of tangent in the southwest or westerly line of the 30 -foot wide drainage easement shown on the above mentioned plat of Culpepper Plaza; THENCE N 28 0 07'36" E for a distance of 185.38 feet for corner; THENCE N 37 0 55'24" W, for a distance of 155.23 feet to an iron rod set in the southeast line of Dominik Drive; THENCE S 29 0 21'36" W along said southeast line of Dominik Drive for a distance of 189.59 feet to an iron rod at the beginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 25 feet; THENCE southerly along said curve to the left for an arc length of 33.26 feet, the chord bears S 08 ° 45'24" E 30.86 feet to an iron rod at the end of this curve; THENCE S 46 0 52'24" E along the northeast line of Puryear Drive for a distance of 131.92 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing 0.653 acres or 28,466 square feet of land more or less, from Apartment District R -6 to Administrative /Professional District A -P.
