ORDINANCE NO. 1290
AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 43,262 SQ. FT. TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE J. E. SCOTT LEAGUE, ABSTRICT 50, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE
FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT R -1 TO APAPRMENT /MEDIUM DENSITY DISTRICT R -5.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, May 14, 1981 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 43,264 sq. ft. tract of
land lying and being situated in the J. E. Scott League, Abstract No. 50,
College Station, Brazos County, Texas according to a plat filed in Volume 237,
Page 49 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the north corner of the M. Durrant Tract recorded in Volume 237,
Page 49 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, same also lying in the
southwest right -of -way line of Texas Avenue;
THENCE S 45 0 35'31" W for a distance of 283.62 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING:
THENCE continuing S 45 ° 35'31" W for a distance of 125.00 feet to a point lying
in the northeast right -of -way line of Meadowland Street;
THENCE N 44 0 52'54" W along the northeast right -of -way line of Meadowland Street
for a distance of 255.20 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 45 0 35'48" E for a distance of 125.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 44 0 52'54" E for a distance of 255.20 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 0.73 acres of land more or less.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
