AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON LOT
7, BLOCK 1, SOUTHWOOD SECTION ONE AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS.
Said Drainage and Utility Easement being more particularly described as follows:
Field notes of a 0.0795 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the Southwood Addition, College Station, Brazos County, Texas and
being part of an existing drainage and utility easement across Lot 7, Block 1
of Southwood Addition Section One as shown on the plat of the said addition
recorded in Volume 260, Page 741 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the iron rod found marking the northeast corner of the
beforementioned Lot 7, Block 1;
THENCE S 07 14' 37" E along the east line of the before mentioned
Lot 7, Block 1 for a distance of 13.98 feet and corner;
THENCE S 58 04' 18" W for a distance of 55.87 feet and corner;
THENCE S 88 55' 38" W for a distance of 50.50 feet and corner in
the west line of the beforementioned Lot 7, Block 1;
THENCE S 07 56' 23" E. along the beforementioned west line of Lot 7,
Block 1 for a distance of 44.58 feet to an iron rod set for corner at the
northwest corner of the said Lot 7, Block 1;
THENCE S 88 55' 37" E along the north line of the beforementioned Lot
7, Block 1 for a distance of 90.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing
0.0795 acres of land more or less.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City
of College Station that there is a drainage and utility easement dedicated
to the City of College Station by plat; and
WHEREAS, said portion of the easement described above is not needed and
will not be needed in the future; and
WHEREAS, the present property owner is desirous of utilizing the above
referenced portion of the easement,

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND ORDAINED, that such portion of easement
be vacated and abandoned; that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to
release on behalf of the City of College Station any right or claim which
the City has in and to said easement.
