ORDINANCF NO. 1240
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at
7 :00 p.m. on August 28, 1980, on the question of receiving certain territory
into the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto,
has determined the following:
Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter and applicable
laws of the State of Texas, the following territory shall be incorporated
within the city limits:
Beginning at the intersection of the present city limits
and the Northwest right of way line of State Highway 30,
the said intersection being in Carter's Creek
thence along the present city limit line being the northwest
right of way of State Highway 30 by the following courses
and distances.

Along the arc of a curve to the right (radius = 2RR9.42 feet)
The chord of which bears N 43 E -- 442.63 feet

thence along the northeast line of a 150 acre tract conveyed to
H.P. Dansby by A.R. Jones etal and described by deed
Record in Volume 76, Page 343 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas, said line also being the present
city limits line by the following courses:
N 41 W -- 1344.50 feet
N 40 W -- 1271.43 feet
N 39 W -- 128.28 feet
N 42 W -- 162.98 feet
N 50 W -- 119.36 feet to the southeast right -of -way
line of State Highway No. 60
thence along the southeast right -of -way line of State Highway No. 60
said line also being the present city limit line by the following
courses:
S 47054'59" W -- 2128.65 feet
along the arc of a curve to the right (radius = 6219.6 feet)
the chord of which bears S 52 W -- 1006.64 feet
S 57 W -- 300.00 feet
S 54 W -- 300.18 feet

Thence in a northwesterly direction along the present city limit
line to the northwest right -of -way line of State Highway No. 60.
Thence along the northwest right -of -way line of State Highway No. 60
to its intersection with the right -of -way of farm to market road 158.
Thence along the south right -of -way line of farm to market road No. 158
in an easterly direction to the most easterly corner of a tract of
land belonging to Bethel Baptist Church.
Thence S 27 W - 220 ft. more or less to the most easterly corner
of Lot 1 Block 1 of Harvey Hillsides described by plat and Deed
Volume 263 Page 485 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas
said corner being marked with an iron rod.
Continuing S 27 W - 568.63 ft. to an iron rod
Thence N 62 W - 333.27 ft. to an iron rod
Thence S 45 W - 1416.58 ft. to an iron rod
Thence S 45 W - 650.00 ft. to an iron rod
Thence S 44 E - 188.14 ft. to an iron rod
Thence S 63 E - 419.44 ft. to an iron rod
Thence S 45 W - 362.93 ft. to an iron rod being
the most easterly corner of Lot 10 Block 2 of Harvey Hillsides
Thence N 49 W - 475.0 ft. to an iron rod being the north
corner of Block 2 of Harvey Hillsides described by plat and
Deed Volume 263 Page 487 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas.
Thence along the northwest boundary of Block 2 of Harvey Hillsides
by the following courses:
S 34 W -- 540.2 feet
S 41036' W -- 295.5 feet
S 37 W -- 454.0 feet
S 45 W -- 970.2 feet to an iron rod being the
west corner of Block 2 of Harvey Hillsides said corner also being
the north corner of Block 3 of Harvey Hillsides described by
plat and Deed Volume 263 Page 489 of the deed records of Brazos
County, Texas
Thence along the northwest boundary of Block 3
of Harvey Hillsides by the following courses:
S 45 W -- 50 feet
S 52 W -- 638.7 feet
S 45 E -- 64 feet
S 44 W -- 362.9 feet
S 43 W -- 370.1 feet
S 43 W -- 370.1 feet

Thence continuing S 44 W -- 24 feet to a said corner being i_n
Carters Creek and on the present city limit line.
Thence in a northwesterly direction along the meanders of Carter's Creek
same being the present city limit line approximately 180 feet to the
point of beginning and containing 342 acres more or less.
