AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 26.81 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT
LEAGUE AND BEING A PART OF THAT 285.32 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO SOUTHWOOD
VALLEY, INC. BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 378, PAGE 224 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS FROM AGRICULTURAL /OPEN DISTRICT A -0 TO APARTMENT BUILDING
DISTRICT R -5; AND A 19.22 ACRE TRACT OF LAND BEING A PART OF THE AFOREMENTIONED
285.32 ACRE TRACT FROM AGRICULTURAL /OPEN DISTRICT A -0 TO DUPLEX DISTRICT R -2
AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, August 28, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of the following two tracts of
land lying in the Crawford Burnett League and being a part of that 285.32 acre
tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume 378, page
224 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described
as follows:
TRACT NO. 1:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the northwest line of said Southwood Valley,
Inc. 285.32 acre tract and the southwest line of Southwood Valley Section 21B,
an addition to the City of College Station, Texas;
THENCE along the southwest and southeast line of the City of College Station,
Texas, as follows:
S 48 E -- 887.96 feet;
S 46 E -- 300.00 feet to the southwest line of the said 285.32 acre
tract;
S 39 E -- 160.18 feet;
THENCE N 48 E -- 913.76 feet;
THENCE N 21 E -- 492.42 feet;
THENCE N 24 E -- 127.50 feet to the south corner of Southwood Valley Section
216;
THENCE along the southwest line of Southwood Valley Section 21B as follows:
N 65 W -- 271.71 feet to the P.C. of a curve to the right (R =450')
THENCE along the arc of said curve to the right through a central angle of
22 to the P.T. of said curve;
THENCE N 43 W -- 385.48 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing
26.81 acres of land, more or less, from Agricultural /Open District A -0 to
Apartment Building District R -5.

BEGINNING at the most westerly corner of Southwood Valley Section 21A, an add-
ition to the City of College Station, Texas, according to plat of record in
Volume 443, page 73 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas;
