AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 184.80 ACRE TRACT OF LAND, A PART OF A 1580 ACRE TRACT
CONVEYED TO BERT WHEELER BEVERAGE STORES, INC. BY M. DANSBY, ET AL, BY DEED
RECORDED IN VOLUME 291, PAGE 764 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS
AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL/
OPEN DISTRICT A-0 TO PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT M-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, November 8, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits;
AND, WEHREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of that 184.80 acre tract of land
being a part of a 1580 acre tract conveyed to Bert Wheeler Beverage Stores, Inc.
by M. Dansby, et al, by deed recorded in Volume 291, page 764 of the Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas and more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the City Limits line as of September 30, 1979
and the northwest right-of-way line of State Highway 30, the said intersection
being in Carter's Creek;
THENCE N 450 W -- 3987.85 feet along the said City Limits lane to the southeast
right-of-way line of State Highway 60;
THENCE along the southeast right-of-way line of State Highway 60 by the following
courses:
N 57012' 00" E -- 2181.63 feet
N 54020'09" E -- 144.58 feet
THENCE S 42042114" E -- 3305.27 feet through the aforesaid 1580 acre tract to the
northwest right-of-way line of State Highway 30;
THENCE along the northwest right-of-way line of State Highway 30 by the following
courses:
S 39013'40" W -- 801.00 feet;
N 45028'52" W -- 14.09 feet;
S 39018'04" W -- 1352.23 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 184.80 acres
of land, more or less, from Agricultural/Open District A-0 to Planned Industrial
District M-1.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED, this 8th day of November, 1979.
