AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.984 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE MORGAN RECTOR
LEAGUE IN BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF
TEXAS AVENUE AND APPROXIMATELY 800 FEET SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF TEXAS AVENUE
AND SOUTHWEST PARKWAY FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL COM-
MERCIAL DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, October 25, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 1.984 acre tract or
parcel of land lying in the Morgan Rector League in Brazos County, College Station,
Texas, and being all of those two, one acre tracts conveyed to Ernest P. Henry and
Gerrald Farrar by Herman Krenek by dedd recorded in Volume 322, page 750 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the northeast right-of-way line of South Texas Avenue,
said point also being the southwest corner of a one acre tract described a Tract
No. 2 in said deed;
THENCE N 42037'38" E -- 348.70 feet to a fence post and corner;
THENCE S 49035'24" E -- 246.05 feet fo a fence post and corner;
THENCE S 41057'08" W -- 348.46 feet to a point for corner in the said right-of-way
line of South Texas Avenue;
THENCE N 49036'51" W -- 250.16 feet along the said right-of-way line to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 1.984 acres of land, more or less, from Single
Family Residential District R-1 to General Commercial District C-1.
AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
