_ VV AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, BEING ALL OF
THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF SHENANDOAH DRIVE LOCATED WEST OF AND ADJACENT TO LOT
9 BLOCK 5 OF SOUTHWOOD VALLEY SECTION ONE REVISED, AN ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, RECORDED IN VOLUME 329, PAGE 119 OF THE
DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the owners of the herein described property have requested that it
be abandoned;
AND, WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas has
determined that it is in the best interest of the City that the herein
described property be abandoned.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, that all that certain tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College
Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that tract described by the
plat of Southwood Valley Section I recorded in Volume 329, Page 119 of
the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly
described as 'follows:
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of Southwood Valley section one,
Revised.
THENCE N 480 40' 30" E - 60.00 feet along the southeast line of Southwood
Valley Section One, revised, to the most southerly corner of Lot 9 in
Block 5;
THENCE N 410 19' 30" W - 110.00 feet along the southwest line of Lot 9
to the P.C. of a curve to the right (R-25');
THENCE along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 90 to the
P.T. of said curve in the southeast line of Todd Trail;
THENCE S 480 40' 30" W - 85.00 feet along an extension of the southeast
line of Todd Trail to the southwest line of Southwood Valley section one,
Revised;
THENCE S 4f 19' 30" E - 135.00 feet along the southwest line of Southwood
Valley Section One, Revised, to the POINT OF BEGINNING be vacated, and is
hereby closed as a public street.
And, it is ordained that the said abandonment shall be effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9 th day of Aug., 1979.
