HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-1152 - Ordinance - 04/12/1979W ORDINANCE NO. 1152 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.0 ACRE TRACT OF LAN[ LYING IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE ABSTRACT 46, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED r►° IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT, A-P. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 12, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a 1.0 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Abstract 46, Brazos County, Texas and being the same 1.0 acre tract conveyed to Mrs. Annie Krenek by Hugo F. Stasney et al by partition deed recorded in Volume 97, page 90 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod found marking the south corner of the aforsaid 1.00 acre tract, said corner also being the west corner of a 1.00 acre tract described as tract one in a deed from Emma Hawkins to the Trustees for the College Station Missionary Baptist Chapel A.B.A. and recorded in Volume 315, page 104 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas said corner also lying in the northeast right-of-way line of Texas Avenue; THENCE N 46018-09" W along the said northeast right-of-way line of Texas Avenue for a distance of 124.44 feet to an iron rod for corner, said corner also being the southeast corner of a 1.00 acre tract described as tract one in a deed from Herman Krenek to Ernest P. Henry and Gerrald W. Farrar and recorded in Volume 322, page 750 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; THENCE N 44059-58" E along the common line between the herein described 1.00 acre tract and the Ernest P. Henry 1.00 acre tract for a distance of 349.28 feet to a post for corner; THENCE S 46059'41" E for a distance of 124.49 feet to an iron rod found marking the east corner of the herein described tract, said corner also being the north corner of the aformentioned College Station Missionary Baptist Chapel 1.00 acre tract; THENCE S 45000'00" W along the common line between the herein described tract and the said College Station Missionary Baptist Chapel 1.00 acre tract for a distance of 350.79 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 1.00 acres of land, more or less from Single Family Residential District R-1 to Administrative Professional District, A-P.
