ORDINANCE NO. 1,150
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS RETAINING THE TAXES
IMPOSED BY THE LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX ACT (ARTICLE 1066c, VERNON'S
TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES) ON THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF GAS AND ELECTRICITY
FOR RESIDENTIAL USE IN SAID CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
Section 1. The City of College Station, Texas by majority vote of its
governing body, hereby votes to retain the taxes authorized by the Local
Sales and Use Tax Act (Article 1066c, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes) on
the receipts from the sale, production, distrihution, lease, or rental of
and the use, storage, or other comsumption of gas and electricity for
residential use, as authorized by Section 6 of House Bill No.l, Acts 1978,
65th Legislature, Second Called Session.
