AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, BEING ALL OF THE
SHENANDOAH DRIVE RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM THE NORTHWEST LINE OF AIRLINE DRIVE TO F.M.
2818 AS DESCRIBED BY PLAT, SOUTHWOOD VALLEY SECTION II, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
RECORDED IN VOLUME 331, PAGE 133 OF DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND
BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the owners of the herein described property have requested that it be
abandoned;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas has deter-
mined that it is in the best interest of the City that the herein described
property be abandoned.
IT IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, that all that certain tract or parcel of land lying
and being situation in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos
County, Texas, being a part of that tract described by the plat of Southwood
Valley Section II recorded in Volume 331, Page 133 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the northeast line of Shenandoah Drive and
the southeast right-of-way line of F.M. 2818.
THENCE S 41018'58" E - 316.31 feet along the northeast line of Shenandoah
Drive to the P.C. of a curve to the left (R=25');
THENCE along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 90' to the
P.T. of said curve in the northwest line of Airline Drive;
THENCE S 48041'02" W - 85.00 feet along the northwest line of Airline Drive
to the southwest line of Shenandoah Drive;
THENCE N 41018'58" W - 337.40 feet to the southeast right-of-way line of F.M.
2818;
THENCE N 44057'25" E - 60.13 feet along the southeast right-of-way line of
F.M. 2818 to the POINT OF BEGINNING be vacated, and is hereby closed as a
public street.
And, it is ordained that the said abandonment shall be effective immediately.
