AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.75 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE J.E. SCOTT LEAGUE
MORE CLEARLEY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS
' DISTRICT C-N TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R-5 AS SPECIFIED IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, The City City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00
P.M. on Thursday, July 27, 1978 on the question of rezoning certain areas
within the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 1.75 acre tract of land in
the J.E. Scott League, Abstract 50, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion
of that tract conveyed to BEMA, Inc. by W.E. Edgar by deed recorded in Volume
325, page 604 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more
particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the northwest right-of-way line of Farm
Road 60 and the southwest right-of-way line of a County road, said point also
being the east corner of the aformentioned tract conveyed to BEMA, Inc. by
W.E. Edgar;
THENCE S 45000'00" W along the northwest right-of-way line of Farm Road 60
for a distance of 125.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
THENCE S 45000'00" W continuing along the northwest right-of-way line of said
Farm Road 60 for a distance of 350.00 feet to a concrete monument for corner;
THENCE N 45030'00" W a distance of 200.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 45000'00" E a distance of 475.00 feet to a point for corner in the
souhtwest right-of-way line of the aformentioned County road;
THENCE S 45030'00" E a distance of 50.00 feet along the southwest right-of-way
line of the aformentioned County road to a point for corner;
THENCE S 45000'00" W a distance of 125.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 45030'00" E a distnace of 150.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and
containing 1.75 acres of land, more or less, from Neighborhood Business District
C-N to Apartment Building District R-5.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
