POWER COST ADJUSTMENT FACTOR
SCHEDULE PCA
The formula for calculation of the Power Cost Adjustment Factor is as follows:
Power Cost Adjustment = FAB - 0.30S + CF + $.0055
Factor ($ per kwhr) K (rounded to the nearest 0.0010)
Definitions:
FAB = Fuel adjustment cost in dollars per kwhr as reflected on the City of
Bryan power bill for the immediately preceding billing month.
S = Total dollar savings in the cost of wholesale power realized by the
City of College Station due to load transfer to Gulf States Utilities
Company during the immediately preceding billing month.
K = Total estimated kwhr sales to customers for the current billing month.
CF = Correction factor adjustment in dollars to be applied in the current
billing month to provide for correction of the variance between actual
and estimated power cost adjustment revenues derived from the Power Cost
Adjustment Factor for the second preceding billing month prior to the
current billing month.
The formula for calculation of the Correction Factor is as follows:
CF = (A) - (B)
where:
(A) = the actual power cost adjustment revenues in dollars received from
application of the Power Cost Adjustment Factor in the second preceding
billing month.
(B) = The power cost adjustment revenues which would have been received from
application of the Power Cost Adjustment Factor in the second preceding
billing month if actual rather than estimated kwhr sales (described
above) had been available to calculate the Power Cost Adjustment Factor for
that billing month.
