AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.599 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE
CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 7, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS,
AND BEING A PART OF A 12.0 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO THE A&M CONSOLIDATED
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 243, PAGE 221 OF THE DEED
RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO TOWNHOUSE-
ROWHOUSE DISTRICT R-3.
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, May 25, 1978 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of a 1.599 acre tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, Abstract No. 7, College
Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being part of a 12.0 acre tract of land
conveyed to the A&M Consolidated Independent School District by Deed recorded in
Volume 243, Page 221 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the iron rod found marking the south corner of the beforementioned
12.0 acre tract;
THENCE, N 44036'00" W along the southwest line of the beforementioned 12.0 acre
tract for a distance of 150.24 feet to an iron rod set for corner in the southeast
right-of-way line of Holleman Drive;
THENCE, N 44056'00" E along the beforementioned southeast right-of-way line of
Holleman Drive for a distance of 461.66 feet to an iron rod set for corner in
the southwest right-of-way line of Anderson Street;
THENCE, S 44028'32" E along the beforementioned southwest right-of-way line
of Anderson Street for a distance of 151.65 feet to an iron rod found for corner
in the southeast line of the beforementioned 12.0 acre tract;
THENCE, S 45006'30" W along the beforementioned southeast line of the 12.0 acre
tract for a distance of 461.32 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing 1.599
acres of land, more or less, from Single Family Residential District R-1 to
Townhouse-Rowhouse District R-3.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
