AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 9.062 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE,
BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY
OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL COM-
MERCIAL DISTRICT C-1 AS SPECIFIED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, May 12, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of a 9.062 acre tract or parcel of land
in the Morgan Rector Survey, Abstract No. 46, Brazos County, Texas and being
a part of the 25 acre tract of land described in a partition deed between G.W.
Scasta,,et ux, and James M. Doss, et ux, recorded in Volume 191, page 80 of
the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being described by metes and
bounds as follows;
BEGINNING at the west corner at an iron stake and being in the west corner of
the Scasta 25 acre tract of land described in the before mentioned partition
deed between G.W. Scasta, et ux, and James M. Doss, et ux;

N 44°56' E
-- 470.1 feet
to
an iron stake for corner;
THENCE
S 45011' E
-- 635.6 feet
to
an iron stake for corner in the west line
of Highway
6 East
Bypass;
THENCE
S 10 01' W
-- 634.2 feet
along the west line of Highway 6 East Bypass
to an
iron stake for corner;
THENCE
N 45027' W

to
an angle point;
THENCE
N 49000' W
-- 119.3 feet
to
the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 9.062
acres
of land, more or less, from
Single Family Residential District R-1 to
General
Commercial
District C-1.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
