HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-1061 - Ordinance - 01/13/1977ORDINANCE NO. 1061 AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL THAT CERTAIN 1.43 ACRE TRACT IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1. WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 13, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a portion of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume 322, Page 670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the northwest line of Ponderosa Road and the southwest line of Tract No. 8 as described in City of College Station, Texas, Ordinance No. 908; THENCE S 490 20' 47" W -- 88.32 feet along the northwest line of Ponderosa Road to the P.C. of a curve to the left (R-635'); THENCE along the arc of said curve continuing along the northwest line of Ponderosa Road through a central angle of 20 15' 22"; THENCE N 400 39' 13" W -- 523.56 feet along the northeast line of Southwood IL, M1rr`' Valley Section 8-A; THENCE N 10 46' 20" W -- 157.12 feet continuing along the northeast line of Southwood Valley Section 8-A to the southwest line of said Tract No. 8; THENCE S 410 57' 27" E -- 645.54 feet along the southwest line of the said Tract No. 8 to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1.43 acres of land, more or less, from Single Family Residential District R-1 to General Commercial District C-1.
