AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 0.394 ACRE TRACT OF LAND SITUATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE,
ASBTRACT NO. 8, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PORTION OF LOT 33 OF THE D. A. SMITH
SUBDIVISION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE FULLY
DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R-3 TO
NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT C-N.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, October 14, 1976 on the question of rezoning certain tracts within the
city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of a 0.394 acre tract of land being situated
in the Richard Carter League, Abstract No. 8, in College Station, Brazos County,
Texas, and being a portion of Lot 33, D. A. Smith Addition, an addition to the
City of College Station, Texas and being more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod at the most easterly corner of the Second Baptist Church
tract described in a deed recorded in Volume 180, Page 152 of the Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas;
THENCE; S 40° 34' 36" W for a distance of 127.83 feet along the southeast line
of said Second Baptist Church tract to its most southerly corner;
THENCE; S 47° 22' 38" E for a distance of 130.98 feet for a point in the southeast
line of the above mentioned Lot 33;
THENCE; N 43° 36' 43" E for a distance of 127.46 feet along the southeast line
of the said Lot 33 to its most easterly corner in the southwest right-of-way line
of Eisenhower Street;
THENCE; N 47° 14' 58" W for a distance of 137.74 feet along the southwest right-
of-way line of Eisenhower Street to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 0.394
acres of land, more or less from Apartment Building District R-3 to Neighborhood
Business District C-N.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
