AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO APARTMENT BUILDING ]DISTRICT Rr3 AND NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT C-N AS SPECIFIED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, March 25, 1976 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of those certain tracts of land in the Crawford
Burnett League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas described as follows:
TRACT ONE:
An 11.865 acre tract of land, lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League,
Abstract 7, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion of a 47.27 acre tract conveyed to
Mohawk, Ltd. by Marion C. Pugh by deed recorded in Volume 326, Page 870 of the Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod set at the North corner of the aforementioned 47.27
acre tract, said corner also being the point of intersection of the Southwest right-of-
way line of the I & GN Railroad right-of-way and the Southeast right-of-way line of a
county road commonly referred to as West Luther Street;
THENCE S 190 39' 00" E along the Southwest right-of-way line of the aforesaid I
**So,& GN Railroad right-of-way for a distance of 177.91 feet to an iron rod for the PLACE
OF BEGINNING of the herein described 11.865 acre tract;
THENCE continuing S 19° 39' 00" E along the Southwest line of the I & GN Railroad
right-of-way for a distance of 607.92 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 710 17' 38" W for a distance of 191.74 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 440 24' 50" W for a distance of 495.00 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 450 35' 10" W for a distance of 620.00 feet to an iron rod for corner,
said corner also lying in the Southeast right-of-way line of the said county road;
THENCE N 440 24' 50" E along the Southeast right-of-way line of the said county
road for a distance of 815.00 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 450 35' 10" E for a distance of 160.00 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 440 24' 50" E for a distance of 116.91 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 11.865 acres of land, more or less from Single Family Residential
District R-1 to Apartment Building District R-3; and
TRACT TWO:
A 0.572 acre tract of land, lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League,
Abstract 7, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion of a 47.27 acre tract conveyed to
Mohawk, Ltd. by Marion C. Pugh by deed recorded in Volume 326, Page 870 of the Deed'
Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows:

I & GN Railroad right-of-way for a distance of 177.91 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 440 24' 50" W for a distance of 116.91 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 450 35' 10" W for a distance of 160.00 feet to an iron rod for corner,
said corner lying in the existing Southeast right-of-way line of said county road;
THENCE N 440 24' 50" E along the Southeast right-of-way line of said county road
for a distance of 194.72 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 0.572 acres of
land, more or less from Single Family Residential District R-1 to Neighborhood Commercial
District C-N.
And it is ordained that the said changes shall be effective immediately.
