AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 49.84 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE, BRAZOS
COUNTY, TEXAS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO DUPLEX RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-2 AS SPECIFIED IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, March 25, 1976 on the question of rezoning a certain area within the city
limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract of land in the Morgan
Rector League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas described as follows:
A 49.84 acre tract of land, lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League,
Abstract 46, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion of a 205.08 acre tract conveyed
to Brentwood, Inc. by Lydia Boriskie by deed recorded in Volume 317, Page 26 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northeast right-of-way line of South Texas Avenue
(State Highway 6), said point also being the southwest corner of said 205.08 tract;
THENCE N 410 48' 30" E for a distance of 774.84 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
THENCE continuing N 410 48' 30" E for a distance of 590.09 feet to a point for
corner;
THENCE N 290 00' 03" E for a distance of 85.37 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 600 59' 57" W for a distance of 30.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 290 00' 03" E for a distance of 357.53 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 420 16' 32" E for a distance of 696.71 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 590 44' 16" E for a distance of 333.39 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 240 13' 02" E for a distance of 1298.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 420 15' 45" W for a distance of 1475 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 490 31' 21" W for a distance of 1155.52 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 49.84 acres of land, more or less from Single Family Residential District
R-1 to Duplex Residential District R-2.
And it is ordained that the said change shall be effective immediately.
