HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-1006 - Ordinance - 03/11/1976ORDINANCE NO. 1006 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 11, 1976 on the question of rezoning a certain tract within the city limits: AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all of that 15.95 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector Survey, Abstract No. 46, Brazos County, Texas also beng part of the 66.69 acre tract conveyed to Glynn A. Williams by Rosa Krenek by deed recorded in Volume 252, Page 445 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the southeast line of the abovementioned 66.69 acre tract with the east or northeast right-of-way line of Texas State Highway No. 6, East Bypass; THENCE N 220 21' 02" W along the common line between this tract and said northeast right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 for a distance of 739.343 feet to an agle point in said right-of-way line; THENCE N 260 16' 17" W continue along said common line between this tract and said northeast right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 for a distance of 648.248 feet and corner in the northwast line of the beforementioned Glynn A. Williams 66.69 acre tract, same being the southeast right-of-way line of Stasny Lane; THENCE N 450 14' 18" E along said right-of-way line of Stasny Lane for a distance of 279.22 feet to the end of said Lane; THENCE N 520 33' 06" W along a line of the beforementioned 66.69 acre tract for a distance of 11.89 feet and corner; THENCE N 450 29' 06" E continue along a line of said 66.69 acre tract for a distance of 253.18 feet and corner; THENCE S 260 16' 17" E for a distance of 843.84 feet and corner; THENCE S 220 21' 02" E for a distance of 547.84 feet and corner in the beforementioned southeast line of the Glynn A. Williams 66.69 acre tract; THENCE S 450 00' 06" W along said southeast line of the 66.69 acre tract for a distance of 541.78 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing 15.95 acres of land more or less from Single Family Residential District R-1 to General Commercial District C-1. And it is ordained that the said change shall be effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED this llth day of March, 1976. APPROVED Mayor ATTEST City Secretary ORDINANCE NO. 1007 AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL OF LOT 4, BLOCK 2, COONER SUBDIVISION FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R-3 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 11, 1976 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all of Lot 4, Block 2, Cooner Addition according to plat filed in Volume 102, Page 151 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas from Apartment Building District R-3 to General Commercial District C-1.
