AN ORDINANCE REZONING THAT 2.51 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, AND
BEING A PART OF LOTS 4,5,6,7, AND 8, BLOCK 21, SOUTHWOOD VALLEY SUBDIVISION SECTION 4A
ACCORDING TO THE PLAT FILED IN VOLUME 345, PAGE 351 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY,
TEXAS FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 AND AGRICULTURAL OPEN DISTRICT A-0 TO
COMMERCIAL - INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT C-2.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday,
February 26, 1976 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone of change the classification of all that certain 2.51 acre tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, College Station, Brazos County,
Texas and being a part of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc. by
deed recorded in Volume 322, Page 670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and
being a part of that 30.03 acre tract conveyed to William D. Fitch by deed recorded in
Volume 323, Page 78 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of the said 30.03 acre tract.
THENCE S 470 45' 57" E - 382.46 feet along the line between the said William D. Fitch
30.03 acre tract and that tract conveyed to Area Progress Corporation by deed recorded
in Volume 286, Page 292 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas;
THENCE S 420 34' 17" W - 187.34 feet through the said 30.03 acre tract to the most
southerly corner of the said Area Progress Corporation tract;
THENCE N 400 39' 13" W - 314.58 feet through the said 30.03 acre tract and continue N
400 39' 13" W - 481.85 feet through the said 649.77 acre tract;
THENCE N 490 20' 47" E - 89.91 feet continuing through the said 649.77 acre tract;
THENCE S 470 45' 57" E - 397.81 feet along the southwest line of that 3.08 acre tract
conveyed to Area Progress Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 323, Page 458 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 2.51 acres
of land more or less from Single Family Residential District R-1 and Agricultural Open
District A-0 to Commercial - Industrial District C-2.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
