HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-0996 - Ordinance - 01/22/1976ORDINANCE NO. 996 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 850 WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 1976 on the question of amending the Zoning Ordinance No. 850; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to amend Ordinance No. 850; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: The Zoning Ordinance No. 850, is hereby amended to read as follows: To Section 5., SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS, add the following: 5-P DISTRICT R-6 -- APARTMENT/MEDIUM DENSITY 5-P.1 PURPOSE: This district allows a density differentiation between the common two story development and multi -story buildings such as would be necessary to achieve the maximum density allowed in the Apartment Building District R-3. 5-P.2. PERMITTED USES Single family dwellings, built under the zoning restrictions of District R-1. Duplex dwelling units, built under the zoning restrictions of District R-2. Apartment buildings. Townhouse dwelling units, built under the zoning restrictions of District R-4. Convalescent homes. Dormitory. Home occupations. Parking lots for operating vehicles. Rooming houses. Rooming and boarding houses. Boarding houses. Fraternity or Sorority houses. 5-P.3. CONDITIONAL USES PERMITTED: Refer to Section 6-L. 5-P.4. AREA REQUIREMENTS: Refer to Table A at the end of this Section. 5-P.5. PARKING REQUIREMENTS: Refer to Section 7. 5-P.6. SIGN REGULATIONS: Refer to Section 8. 5-Q DISTRICT R-7 -- APARTMENT/LOW DENSITY 5-Q.1. PURPOSE: This district provides the flexibility of having areas that could be developed multi -family but still at a low density to allow transition from low to high density. A typical type development could be four-plex. 5-Q.2. PERMITTED USES: Single family dwellings, built under the zoning restrictions of District R-1. Duplex dwelling units, built under the zoning restrictions of District R-2. Apartment buildings. Convalescent homes. 4004 Home occupations. Parking lots for operating vehicles. Rooming houses.
