HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-0995 - Ordinance - 01/22/1976ORDINANCE NO. 995 AN ORDINANCE REZONING THAT CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT AND ROBERT STEVENSON LEAGUES MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL OPEN DISTRICT A-0 TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 1976 on the question of rezoning a certain area of land within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of that certain tract of land in the Crawford Burnett and Robert Stevenson Leagues, Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows: All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett and Robert Stevenson Leagues in Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc. by William D. Fitch by deed recorded in Volume 322, Page 670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the southwest line of the said Southwood Valley, Inc. 649.77 acre tract and the present city limits of the City of College Station; said point being 500 feet southeast of the southeast right-of-way line of FM 2818. THENCE along the present city limits and through the said 649.77 acre tract as follows: N 580 50' 58" E - 434.09 feet; N 530 14' 44" E - 503.68 feet; THENCE N 440 57' 25" E - 2.15 feet; S 41° 18' 58" E - 1125.00 feet; THENCE N 740 50' 43" E - 3240.27 feet; S 41' 57' 48" E - 2200.48 feet; THENCE around the said 649.77 acre tract as follows: S 47° 45' 57" E - 397.81 feet; S 170 18' 19" W - 1885.70 feet; THENCE S 410 49' 31" W - 1533.40 feet; N 48° 3' 25" W - 4488.92 feet; THENCE S 490 25' 18" W - 13.15 feet; N 48' 10' 15" W - 1986.78 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 351.677 acres of land more or less, from Agricultural Open District A-0 to Single Family Residential District R-1.
