AN ORDINANCE REZONING AN 8.92 ACRE TRACT IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY,
TEXAS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO DUPLEX RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-2.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, January 8, 1976 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of that certain tract of land in the
Crawford Burnett League in Brazos County, Texas and being all of a 6 acre tract of land
conveyed to Thomas L. Berdine, by C. M. Halliburton by deed dated August 30, 1926,
and recorded in Vol. 68, Page 501, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and also
being all of a 3 acre tract of land conveyed to Thomas L. Berdine, written in said deed
Thomas Lance Berdine, by Martha Moore and husband Henry Moore, by deed dated Sept. 23,
1926 and recorded in Vol. 68, Page 513, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and
being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod in the southeast Right of Way of Holleman Street said iron
rod also being the northwest corner of Lot 1 Block 1 of McCulloch's Subdivision;
THENCE: S 34 14' 12" E - 1342.59 feet along the southwest line of said McCulloch's
Subdivision to a concrete marker;
THENCE: S 45 33' 26" W - 291.26 feet to an iron rod;
THENCE: N 34 29' 11" W - 1341.18 feet to an iron rod;
THENCE: N 45 30' E - 297.25 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 8.923 acres
of land more or less, from Single Family Residential District R-1 to Duplex Residential
District R-2.
And, it is ordained that said change be effective immediately.
