wY` AN ORDINANCE REZONING THAT CERTAIN 0.773 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE RICHARD CARTER
LEAGUE BEING PART OF LOT 26, D.A. SMITH SUBDIVISION FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT,
DISTRICT R-3 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Monday, January 27, 1975 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of that certain tract of land lying
and being situated in the Richard Carter League, Brazos County, Texas and being a
portion of a tract of land conveyed from A.P. Boyett, Jr., et al by deed dated August
1970 and recorded in Volume 288, page 534 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas,
to Lee Godwin Verrips, being the southwest 171' of Lot 26 adjoining Lot 31, D. A.
Smith Subdivision and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 26 at the intersection of the right-of-way
of Live Oak Street;
THENCE N 44001'E - 171.0 feet to an iron rod for corner with the A.L. Rosprim tract;
THENCE S 43057'E - 197.0 feet along the commin line with the A.L, Rosprim tract
to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 44001'W - 171 feet to corner;
THENCE N 43057'W - 197.0 feet to the place of beginning, containing 0.773 acres of
land, more or less from Apartment Building District, District R-3 to General
Commercial District, District C-1.
And it is ordained that the said change shall be effective immediately.
