AN ORDINANCE REZONING THAT CERTAIN 1.064 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE RICHARD CARTER
LEAGUE BEING PART OF LOT 27, D. A. SMITH SUBDIVISION FROM APARTMENT BUILDING
DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Wednesday, October 23, 1974 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of that certain tract of land lying
and being situated in the Richard Carter League, Abstract No. 8 of Brazos County,
Texas, and being a part of Lot 27, D. A. Smith Subidivsion, City of College Station,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING"at an iron rod found beside a fence corner marking the southeast corner
of said Lot 27 in the northeast line of Lot 32 of said addition;
THENCE along the beforementioned line of Lot 32 for the following calls:
N 48°04'13" W for a distance of 75.04 feet to an iron rod found beside a
fence corner;
N 53°35'41" W for a distance of 101.94 feet to a 3/4" iron pipe, for corner;
THENCE N 42028'46" E along the northwest line of Lot 27 for a distance of 277.55
feet to an iron rod, for corner;
THENCE S 47022'38" E along the southwest line of the Second Baptist Church of
College Station tract for a distance of 167.58 feet and corner;
THENCE S 40034'36" W along the southeast line of Lot 27 for a distance of 265.77
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 1.064 acres of land, more or less from
Apartment Building District, District R-3 to General Commercial District, District C-1.
And it is ordained that the said change shall be effective immediately.
