AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 5.00 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE
BEING THAT TRACT CONVEYED TO THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF COLLEGE STATION BY
DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 273, PAGE 844 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY
FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-1C, TO APARTMENT BUILDING
DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on July 22, 1974 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
city limits,
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of
land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League, Brazos County,
Texas, and being part of the 120.2238 acre tract of land out of the Albert
Dominik_153.69 acte tract of land described in Vol. 91, pg. 83, Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod in the northwest right-of-way line of State Highway
No. 30 located N 45°41.5' E along said northwest right-of-way line a distance
of 689.38 feet from the concrete monument marking the south corner of the
beforementioned 120.2238 acre tract;
THENCE N 45041.5' E along said northwest right-of-way line for a distance
of 400.0 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 44018.5' W for a distance of 544.50 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 45°41.5' W for a distance of 400.0 feet to an iron rod for corner in
the northeast right-of-way line of the proposed extension of Munson Avenue.
THENCE S 44° 18.5' E along the beforementioned proposed northeast right-of-way
line of Munson Avenue for a distance of 544.50 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
containing 5.00 acres of land more or less from Single Family Residential
District, District R-lC, to Apartment Building District, District R-3, and it
is ordained that the said change be effective immediately.
