HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-0914 - Ordinance - 05/27/1974ORDINANCE NO. 914 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING A TWO ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE KNOWN AS THE SHILOH CLUB FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-lC TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT C-1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS the City Council of the City of College Station has been presented a petition by the owners of the herein described tract of land to rezone the same from Single Family Residential District, District Rl-C, to General Commercial District, District C-1; THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of College Station shall consider the above request according to the provisions of Section 13-A of Ordinance No. 850 and shall make recommendation to the City Council prior to the 24th day of June, 1974, and; It is hereby ordered that a public hearing be held at the City Hall in College Station, Texas at 7:00 P.M. on June 24, 1974 on the question of rezoning all of that certain tract of land in the City of College Station described as follows: All that certain tract in the Crawford Burnett League in Brazos County, Texas and described as follows: Being and beginning at the East „r corner of fifty acre tract of land conveyed to J. L. Staney by Frank Uhler, a stake set on the Southwest line of the new survey of Hwy 6, thence S 45 W with the southeast line of said fifty acre tract 150 varas and corner, a stake for corner; Thence N 45 W 75 varas and corner, a stake for corner; Thence N 45 E 150 varas and corner, a stake set on the Southwest line of said Hwy 6; Thence S 45 E with said highway, 75 varas to the place of beginning, containing two acres of land.
