HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-0794 - Ordinance - 11/22/1971el- ORDINANCE NO. 794 IM AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P. M. on September 27, 1971 on the question of receiving certain territory into the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto, has determined the following: Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7 of the City Charter and applicable laws of the State of Texas, the following territory shall be incorporated within the city limits; Beginning at a point, said point beingVgap west of a point in the southwest right of way line of State Highway 6 described as boximately 5, 280 feet south of the most easterly corner of a tract of land conveea Progress Corporation by Roy W. Kelley as shown in Volume 286, Page 29Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, Thence in a southeasterly direc n rallel to and 100 feet from the west right of way line of State Highway distance pproximately 2, 194 feet to a point for a corner, said point further describ as distance :1eet west of the common corner of the west right of way line of State Hi hw y 6 the north right of way line of Barron Road, Thence in a southwes ly irecttq� along the north right of way line of Barron Road a distance of approximateU 675 feet to a point for a corner, Thence in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 1, 700 feet to a point for a corner, Thence in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 475 feet to a point for a corner, Thence in a northwesterly direction for a distance of approximately 500 feet to a point for a corner, Thence in a northeasterly direction a distance of approximately 200 feet to the place beginning and containing 28. 6 acres more or less.
