HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-0807 - Ordinance - 03/27/1972ORDINANCE NO. 807 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF RE- ZONING A 0.829 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT p� LEAGUE FROM DISTRICT NO. 3, APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all land described herein be rezoned from District No. 3, Apartment House District, to District No. 4, First Business District; It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall in College Station, Texas at 7:00 P. M. on Monday, April 24, 1972, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits as follows: All that certain tract or parcel of land lying or being situated in the C. Burnett League, being a part of that land conveyed to the Area Progress Corporation by C. M. R. Deacon, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 275, page 645 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being described as follows: Beginning at an iron rod in the northwest right -of -way line of F, M. Road 2818 in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, N 46 22' 47" E a distance of 1581. 94 feet from the most southerly corner of that 26.216 acre tract conveyed to the Area Progress Corporation by C. M. R. Deacon, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 275, page 645 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; Thence N 45 52' 48" W a distance of 467. 92 feet along the center of a power line easement; Thence N 31 15' 03" E a distance of 158.39 feet; Thence S 28 49' 14" E a distance of 526.36 feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.829 acres of land more or less, from District No. 3, Apartment House District to District No. 4, First Business District. Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of College Station at least three times, the first publication of which shall not be less than 15 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
