ORDINANCE NO. 788
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME FROM "NEWTON STREET" IN THE COLLEGE
PARK SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS TO "SILVEY STREET",
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station has had requests from
friends and neighbors of Dr. O. W Silvey, deceased, requesting that the name of
Newton Street be changed to Silvey Street.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College
Station, Texas, that the name of the street now known as Newton Street in the College
Park Subdivision shall be and hereby changed to Silvey Street. All signs on said
street shall be changed accordingly.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of September, 1971.
